License Description
REAL ESTATE BROKERS SOC Code 41-9021 Entry Salary N/A Average Salary N/A Job Description A Real Estate Broker sells, exchanges, purchases, rents, manages or leases real estate. Requirements 1. Must be of legal age. 2. Complete and pass Broker I course. 3. Complete and pass Broker II course. 4. Complete and pass Wyoming Law course. 5. Complete and pass Wyoming Broker Management course (responsible broker applicants only). 6. Pass the national exam for brokers. 7. Pass the state exam for brokers. 8. Submit two fingerprint cards. Continuing Education Associate brokers must complete forty five hours of continuing education during each three year renewal period, including twenty one elective hours and twenty four required hours of continuing education. Responsible Broker licensees must complete fifty three hours of continuing education during each three year renewal period, including twenty one elective hours, twenty four required hours, and eight Wyoming broker management hours. See Board website for lists of required and elective course options. Restrictions Conviction of a felony. Falsifying application. Engaging in real estate business for others without a license. Failure to renew a license prior to expiration. License revoked on prior occasion. Violation of the Real Estate License Act of 1971. School Located in Wyoming There are several schools available throughout Wyoming. Contact the Wyoming Real Estate Commission for a complete listing. License Real Estate Brokers must be licensed by the Wyoming Real Estate Commission. New licenses must be renewed by December 31st of the year they were issued. After that, licenses expire every three years on December 31st. Examination The examination is computerized and is administered by Applied Measurement Professionals (AMP).
