APPRAISERS AND ASSESSORS OF REAL ESTATE SOC Code 13-2021 Entry Salary N/A Average Salary N/A Job Description Appraisal of all types of property. Requirements Certified Residential Appraiser: 1. Submission of two fingerprint cards 2. Proof of education which may be a transcript of a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university, a transcript of an Associates degree in a focused field of study from an accredited college or university, a transcript showing a minimum of thirty semester credit hours from an accredited college or university, a transcript of a college level examination program equivalent examination to thirty semester hours at an accredited college or a transcript of any combination of completed semester hours and college level examination program examination attained at an accredited college or university. 3. Complete and pass 140 hours of Board specified coursework. See Board website for details. 4. Provide a work experience log with 1,500 hours of work experience. 5. Pass the National and State exams for Certified Residential Appraisers. Requirements, Certified General Appraiser (this is a conversion from Certified Residential Appraisor and all requirements for Certified Residential Appraisor must be completed in addition to those for Certified General Appraiser): 1. Submission of two fingerprint cards 2. Proof of completion of a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university. 3. Complete and pass 167 hours of Board specified coursework. See Board website for details. 4. Provide a work experience log with 1,500 hours of non-residential experience. 5. Pass National and State exams for Certified General Appraisers. Continuing Education A minimum of twenty-eight hours of continuing education is required for permit renewal. School Located in Wyoming There are no schools in Wyoming that regularly offer classes approved by the Real Estate Appraiser Board. For a complete listing of the locations and classes offered, contact the Wyoming Real Estate Appraiser Board. License Appraisers must be certified by the Wyoming Real Estate Appraiser Board. Permits expire every two years. Examination The Appraiser exam is given by the Real Estate Appraiser Examination Program.
