Job Description Elementary and Secondary Teachers provide classroom instruction to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Requirements Earn a Standard Teaching license which requires completion of a nationally or regionally accredited teacher preparation program in the specific program. Continuing Education Must complete 5 credits or 70 clock hours of continuing education per renewal period. Restrictions Conviction of a felony or committing an immoral act. Incompetence, immorality, gross negligence or other reprehensible conduct. Fraud or deceit in obtaining certification. School Located in Wyoming University of Wyoming - Laramie - College of Education https://www.uwyo.edu/education/index.html The Elementary Education Degree can be obtained either at Casper College through the University of Wyoming at Casper College (UWCC) program (http://www.uwyo.edu/distance/programs/bachelor.html). License All Public School Teachers must be licensed by the Professional Teaching Standards Board. Licenses are valid for five years Examination The Praxis II examination is administered by ETS and is required for teachers with endorsements in elementary education and social studies comprehensive.
