HEARING AID SPECIALIST
License Description
HEARING AID SPECIALISTS SOC Code 29-2092 Entry Salary N/A Average Salary N/A Job Description Hearing aid specialists provide technical assistance to those who are hearing impaired. Duties include audiometric testing, fitting, dealing and dispensing of hearing aid equipment. Requirements 1. References from three (3) individuals familiar with the applicant with whom the applicant has had contact within the past five (5) years. References shall: (A) Be written within the last six (6) months; (B) Not be from relatives of the applicant; and (C) Contain an original signature and be submitted directly to the office of the Board from the respondent and not orwarded through the applicant. 2. Submit a certification of calibration of all audiometric equipment in use signed by a qualified person during the pevious twelve (12) months 3. Successfully pass the written, practical, and jurisprudence examinations. Continuing Education Licensees must complete ten hours of continuing education during the twelve months prior to license expiration. Restrictions All applications are reviewed by the State Board. School Located in Wyoming There are no schools for Hearing Aid Specialists in Wyoming. License Hearing aid specialists must be licensed by the Wyoming Board of Hearing Aid Specialists. Licenses expire annually on January 30th. Examination Written examinations are conducted by the International Hearing Society.
