License Description EARTH DRILLERS, EXCEPT OIL AND GAS SOC Code 47-5023 Entry Salary $24.65/hr Average Salary $30.11/hr Job Description Water well drilling contractor is any person responsible for or causing the construction, equipping, test pumping or development of any water well for compensation. Requirements 1. Must be at least 18 years old. 2. Must be a United States citizen. 3. Pass exams prescribed by the Board. 4. Be of good moral character and repute. 5. Have proof of current coverage under a general liability insurance policy providing not less than $300,000. Continuing Education Licensees must complete 18 hours of continuing education per license renewal period. Restrictions Fraud or misrepresentation in obtaining a license. Has not been convicted of a felony within five years of application for a license. Training Located in Wyoming Wyoming Water Well Association, http://wywaterwell.org/ Contact the Board for additional training providers License Water Well Drilling Contractors are licensed by the Wyoming Water Well Contractors Licensing Board. Licenses are valid for three years and expire on December 31st. Examination Three separate exams are required by the Board. All exams are given at times and places determined by the Board.
