License Description INSPECTORS, TESTERS, SORTERS, SAMPLERS, AND WEIGHERS SOC Code 51-9061 Entry Salary $19.72/hr Average Salary $25.06/hr Job Description Cathodic Protection Testers ensure that storage tanks are protected against corrosion. Requirements Must be certified by the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AAMP, formerly NACE) or the Steel Tank Institute (STI). Restrictions Falsifying license application. Falsifying reports. Revocation by another agency. School Located in Wyoming Contact NACE International or STI for training information. License Cathodic Protection Testers are licensed in Wyoming by the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). Licenses issued for Cathodic Protection Testers and Corrosion Experts shall expire on the date when the underlying certification by NACE or STI expires, or on the date an underlying license issued by another state or city expires, or on the date the underlying P.E. license expires Examination Examinations are conducted by NACE International and STI.
