License Description RESTRICTED USE PESTICIDE DEALER

A Restricted Use Pesticide Dealer is engaged in wholesale or retail sales of restricted use pesticides. Each dealer location selling restricted use pesticides must have a certified dealer at that location. Each certified dealer shall be responsible for the actions of every person who acts as the dealer's employee or agent in the sale of restricted use pesticides. This category does not allow for custom application of pesticides for a fee.

EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS:
Pass the CORE and category for Pesticide Dealer. The CORE part covers general knowledge of pest control materials, safety methods and label interpretation and the category tests knowledge relating to the specific category in which the applicant is seeking a certification. The examination must be taken every three years if the required number of continuing education units are not accrued to maintain the certification.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must be certified in certification category 12 (Pesticide Dealer) prior to applying for the Dealer's License.

RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must pay the Dealer's License fee on an annual basis and provide the RUP sales records. Maintain the Pesticide Dealer certification.
