Physician Assistant
License Description Physician Assistants (PA) provide medical services in collaboration with the appropriate health care provider as indicated by the condition of the patient, the community standards of care, and the physician assistants education, experience, and competence. Within the collaboration relationship, physician assistants exercise autonomy in medical decision-making and provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. The clinical role of physician assistants includes primary and specialty care in medical and surgical practice settings in both urban and rural areas.
