Real Estate Broker
License Description JOB DESCRIPTION: A real estate broker manages a real estate office and is the responsible person for supervising associates that work under his or her supervision. In order to buy, sell, or rent real property on behalf of a consumer for compensation, such person has to possess a real estate broker license. Real estate brokers negotiate sales transactions, manage rental properties, and assist or represent parties throughout the real estate transaction process. Real estate brokers can operate as a sole proprietor, corporation, association (LLC), or partnership. Some brokerages also have branch offices that are extensions of the main office; however, a branch office broker, who is designated by the main broker, must manage each branch office. Many real estate brokers have a franchise agreement with a national or regional real estate organization.
