Pharmacists interpret and evaluate prescription orders; compound, dispense, label, and distribute drugs and devices; and participate in drug selection and drug-related device selection; drug evaluation; utilization or regimen review; the monitoring of drug therapy and use; and medication therapy management in accordance with collaborative pharmacy practice agreements. They are responsible for proper and safe storage and distribution of drugs and devices, and maintenance of records. They may advise patients on therapeutic values, hazards, and use of drugs and devices.

Licensure Requirements:
Examination: Written examination required – NAPLEX (North American Pharmacy Licensing Examination) and the New Hampshire Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE)
Continuing Education: 15 hours of continuing education are required annually, with at least five hours obtained in a live setting
