Clinical and Counseling Psychologists
License Description
Application Requirements The Mississippi Board of Psychology processes all applications through the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB) using the Psychology Licensure Universal System (PLUS) program. If you have never been licensed to practice psychology: You will be required to submit a demographic form, pay associated fees and submit a background check. You will complete a full application (link to PLUS Application will come from ASPPB) where your information will be primary source verified. There is an additional fee for this full application. Once all of this information is received by the MS Board of Psychology, candidates will then move through the process of either: Being recommended to take the EPPP; or If you have already taken and passed the EPPP (as stipulated in the Rules and Regulations), you will be recommended for jurisprudence/oral examination. If all of those criteria are met as stipulated, candidates would then be recommended for licensure. Examination for the Professional Practice of Psychology (EPPP) Passage of this written examination is required prior to licensure in Mississippi. For more information about the exam, try this link. It will take you to the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB) web site which has a wealth of information about the EPPP and other information about licensing.
