Landscape Architect
License Description General requirements for initial registration by examination: 1. Complete a degree in landscape architecture from a college or university having a minimum four-year curriculum as approved by the Board, OR seven years of experience in landscape architecture as approved by the Board, OR a degree in any curriculum and five years of experience as approved by the Board; 2. Pass the Landscape Architect Registration Examination (LARE) prepared by the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB); 3. Complete the required application and pay the application fee. General requirements for reciprocal registration: 1. Provide an official record from CLARB documenting that the applicant has: (a) an active CLARB certificate (which may be waived if the applicant is unable to acquire a CLARB certificate and provides proof of compliance with the applicable law and rules); (b) met the educational and/or experience requirements referenced above; (c) passed the LARE; 2. Complete the required application and pay the application fee. See Miss. Code Ann. Sections 73-2-7, 73-2-9, and 73-2-11. Note: Pursuant to the provisions of the Military Family Freedom Act and the Universal Recognition of Occupational Licenses Act, Mississippi shall recognize occupational licenses obtained from other states.
