Body Art Technician
License Description The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) administers licensing for body art establishments. "Body art" or "body art procedures" means physical body adornment using, but not limited to, tattooing and body piercing. "Tattooing" includes micropigmentation and cosmetic tattooing. "Body art establishment" means any structure or venue, whether permanent, temporary, or mobile, where body art is performed. Review: Body Art Body Art Technician Licensing Minn. Stat. Chapter 146B Body Art All body art technicians pursing a license from the State of Minnesota, including license renewals, must complete their application through the Body Art Technician Licensing System (BATLS).
