Journeyworker High Pressure Pipefitter (HPP)
License Description
The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) license individuals as master and journeyworker pipefitters. Unlicensed individuals registered with DLI or in an approved apprenticeship program who work under supervision of a licensed pipefitter may assist in the installation of high pressure piping systems. Review Pipefitter Licensing An individual must have four years of experience in the practical installation or fabrication of high pressure piping systems, apply for and be approved to take the journeyworker pipefitter exam, and receive a minimum score of 70 on the exam.
