General Requirements: 18 years of age and high school graduate or equivalent
Applicant requirements for Registered Appraisers: general requirements plus complete a 90 classroom hour curriculum approved by the Board
Applicant requirements for Licensed Appraisers: general requirements plus complete a 150 classroom hour curriculum approved by the Board that includes 15 hours of education in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice; 2000 hours of appraisal experience; pass exam
Applicant requirements for Certified Residential Appraisers: general requirements plus complete a 200 classroom hour curriculum approved by the Board that includes 15 hours of education in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice; associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university or provide college transcripts documenting successful completion of college-level courses of 3 semester hours or 5 quarter hours each in English composition, economics, finance, higher mathematics, statistics, basic computer applications, and business or real estate law; 2500 hours of appraisal experience, and pass exam
