Advanced Emergency Medical Technician
License Description AEMT Certification by Examination An AEMT applicant must meet the following requirements: Hold and maintain a current Connecticut EMT certification at the time of enrollment application. Successful completion of an OEMS-approved Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) training program in Connecticut with a minimum of 150 hours (including written and practical examinations). Training must meet or exceed the 2009 National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards for an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician. Successful completion of the NREMT AEMT cognitive and psychomotor examination.
