Yacht and Ship Salesperson's License
License Description Salespersons are employed by California-licensed yacht and ship brokers. Fees: Application: None; Examination: $25; License: $100; Temporary: $25; Fingerprint fees are paid to Live-Scan Facility Examination Frequency: Once a month at each examination location. Examination Locations: Lake Perris, Sacramento, and San Diego. Experience Requirement: Employed by a California-licensed yacht and ship broker. Average Time to Process Application: 1 month. Renewal Period: Annually. Special License Requirements: Applicant must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Comments: Must work for an employing broker that is licensed and bonded. Authority: Harbors and Navigation Code, Chap. 5, Art. 2, Sec. 700-740; California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Sec. 7601-7623.
