Exam Locations: Varies by type of license Experience Requirement: Experience and training levels set in California Code of Regulations, Title 4, Div. 4. Average Time to Process Application: 1 hour. Renewal Period: 3-year period expiring in birth month for all classes except grooms and stable employees which are 1-year period expiring December 31. Special License Requirements: Veterinarians also must be licensed by the Veterinary Medical Board.
