License Description Fees: $200 application fee + $425 initial licensing fee Fingerprint: $49 Active License fee: $400 (Delinquency fee $100) (REQUIRED/ADDITION) w/ Active License fee: $12 (CURES); $25 (Steven Thompson Loan Repayment) Inactive License fee: $300 (Delinquency fee ($75)  Experience Requirement: Received their education and graduated from an osteopathic medical school accredited by the American Osteopathic Association's Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA). https://osteopathic.org/accreditation/  Received 12 months (1st year) postgraduate training credit from an AOA/ACGME Program. Reflecting completion of at least four months of general medicine, where there was direct patient care responsibility.  Completed all three (3) levels of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME) Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination of the United States (COMLEX-USA). CCR Title 16 Section 1611 (d) Average Time to Process Application: up to 6 months. Renewal Period: Biennially (every second year in birth month). Comments: Inactive Licensure is for Osteopathic physicians practicing in other states but desiring to retain California licensure. Note: There is a Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirement of 100 hours over a 2-year renewal period; 40 hours must be AOA category 1A or 1B.
