Community Paramedic
License Description Paramedics are Emergency Medical Service Providers who administer advanced prehospital medical treatment to sick or injured persons enhancing the role of EMS as a partner in public health and community healthcare delivery. Community paramedics may perform health screenings, home inspections, and other services while in the field or in a client's home. They address access to primary care and reduce the usage of emergency care resources. Requirements: 1) Must be at least 18 years of age. 2) Must be a licensed Paramedic. 3) Must complete an approved Community Paramedic course with training consisting of a minimum of 210 clinical hours and required number of patient contacts.
