What does this tool do?
The American Job Center Finder helps you locate any of the nation's nearly 2,300 American Job Centers.
What is an American Job Center?
American Job Centers offer free services to help connect job seekers and employers. Most AJCs have a Business Services Representative, who can help you to:
- Post jobs and search resumes on free online job bank
- Write effective job postings
- Recruit and pre-screen job candidates
- Find and refer qualified veteran job candidates
- Determine a competitive salary for positions
- Connect to local resources for training employees
- Provide HR staff training on current topics
- Review bonding information for new hires
- Obtain federal and state grants, hiring incentives and tax credits
- Interpret workforce and business-related data to support your business decisions
- Learn about local resources in economic development, finance, marketing, and more
If your local AJC does not have a Business Service Representative, they will be able to connect you with the closest one.
How do I get started?
Just enter your City, State, or ZIP Code and select the geographic area you'd like your results to reflect. The list will show all the AJCs within 25 mile of the entered location.
What can I do with the results?
Use the results to contact your local American Job Center. You'll see each AJC's name, address, phone number, and hours of operation. From here you can:
- Click on any center's name to see a detailed page including a description of services and a web address.
- Filter your results in the left navigation area, by location, center type, or by viewing the list of services available for a business, worker or youth worker.
- View a map or driving directions.
- Email one or many centers—simply check the boxes next to the centers you wish to contact; an email from your computer's email system will open, and include any addresses you selected.
- Download and save your list of results in Excel, Word, PDF, or rich-text format, using the "Download" button at the bottom of your results.
- Print or email the list of results by using the links at the top of the page.
What are the different types of American Job Centers?
There are two types of American Job Centers:
Comprehensive American Job Centers: These centers provide a full array of employment and training-related services for workers, youth and businesses. These locations include the mandatory Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) partners on-site.
Affiliate American Job Centers: These centers provide limited employment and training-related services for workers, youth, and businesses. These locations do not include all the mandatory Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) partners (i.e., Veterans, Vocational Rehabilitation) on-site.
